Glooscap Ventures is the economic development corporation of Glooscap First Nation. This page holds the commitments we have made, the reports we are required to publish, and the way to raise a concern with us directly.
Financial Governance
Glooscap First Nation is FMS certified, reflecting strong standards for financial governance and accountability. Glooscap Ventures operates under the Nation’s Financial Administration Law and is strengthening its approach to anti-money laundering and financial crime.
Forced labour and child labour in our supply chains
Canadian law requires larger businesses to publish, each year, what they have done to find and deal with forced labour and child labour in their supply chains. Our report sets out where our goods come from, what we looked at, what we found, and what we are changing. The below form can be used to submit concerns.
United Nations Global Compact
The Compact sets out ten principles on human rights, labour, the environment and corruption. We have adopted the principles as our own standard, and report each year on the status of the ten principals.
Report a concern
If something is wrong, we want to know. Tell us about unsafe work, unfair treatment, dishonesty, or a labour problem anywhere in our businesses or our supply chain. You do not have to give your name.
It does not come to management
Submissions go to the Chair of our Finance, Audit and Risk Committee.
No one is penalized for speaking up
If you leave contact information detail we will acknowledge your report within a 14 days.
